GMA successor must have unquestioned integrity ZOOMING IN Rudy Romero 02/12/2010 The people of this country may be in disagreement on numerous matters, but on one thing they are in firm agreement. They are agreed that the successor to Gloria Arroyo must be a person of unquestioned integrity. After having had to endure nine years of bad Arroyo governance, the Filipino people are one in believing that the winner of the May 10 election must have an unblemished public life and must not have been the subject of investigations or the object of nasty rumors or negative speculation. With this idea in mind, let us take a look at each of the four leading candidates for the presidency — former President Joseph Estrada, Benigno “Noynoy” Aquino, Manuel Villar Jr. and Gilbert Teodoro Jr. — to see if they all meet the of-unquestioned-integrity criterion.
