Let the cyclical in history put the Arroyos in a repeat and the pedagogical teach them a lesson; but more importantly, let history’s vindictiveness take its revenge on them. History breathes and its dynamics requires a payback similar to mother- nature’s wrath when it is abused and violated. There is indeed a God of history.
To those who claim that the Arroyo couple suffered “cruelty and not only injustice” at the humiliating scenarios at the NAIA Immigration counter… well, what could be more humiliating than the experience of President Joseph Estrada, who was speedily arrested at his Polk residence, haled to Camp Crame, fingerprinted and photographed with the docket number like an ordinary street criminal, charged at the Sandiganbayan, jailed in Crame then incarcerated in Sta. Rosa, Laguna. Yet he was a legitimately elected and sitting president!
Does the priest-lawyer-constitutionalist know the meaning of cruelty? He should have reviewed the video tapes of how the “Edsa three” rallyists — the poor, unwashed and toothless — followers of President Estrada were beaten to the pulp or even murdered in the streets of Mendiola that fatal evening of May 10 years ago by the Arroyo mob police, when their only purpose was to voice out their humble sentiments of being robbed of their votes.....
