“According to reports citing DBP documents, the written-off loans were Maynilad Water, P710.86 million; Bayantel, P591.81 million; Central CATV Inc., P207.10 million; and Benpres Holdings, P157.95 million; for a total of P1.667 billion. Maynilad, however, was later sold to the Consunji-led DMCI Holdings Inc. after incurring losses."
