4 Pinay activists face deportation for Bali Asean summit protest
11/20/2011Four Filipina activists were detained by Bali police and are facing possible deportation for participating in a protest against the Asean Summit attended by the world’s leaders, including US President Barack Obama, in Indonesia.
According to the Freedom from Debt Coalition (FDC), the four Filipinas — Lidy Nacpil, Malou Tabios, Rhoda Viajar and Manjette Lopez – and three Indonesians were arrested after they participated in a rally that passed through several foreign consulate offices in Bali, including those of the US and Japan last Friday.
Although released earlier yesterday, the four activists — three from the regional group Jubilee South Asia Pacific Movement on Debt and Development (JS-APMDD) and one from the FDC, are facing possible criminal charges or are in danger of being deported..... MORE

I said my piece. It stands. Won't degress to NYC for that. Not even APEC leaders summit where they break wind at each other impressed me let alone "that" embarrasing incident.
actually, anonymous, that comment was not in answer to yours. i made that comment in fb and was just transferring it here and you just happened to have posted your comment earlier (publication pending my approval). you did not say anything to the effect of criminal, notice that.
anyway, such incidents ain't really unusual where protests rallies are allowed. and if it's embarrassing, it must be so for the apec leaders.
