QC gov’t warns anew residents living in earthquake-prone areas

The Quezon City government yesterday warned anew the residents whose houses and structures are located in earthquake-prone areas to vacate their places as a tragedy can occur anytime like what happened a few days ago in the Visayan region.

This as Mayor Herbert “Bistek” Bautista, at an executive meeting attended by members of the Quezon City Press Club, stressed that the local government has been pre-occupied in formulating measures and contingency plans in case a tragedy takes place in the city.

“I am now again appealing to our residents, especially those whose houses and structures are on top of the fault line to vacate their places to save their lives,” Bautista said..... MORE
