Senate asked to cite House prosecutors for contempt
By Angie M. Rosales 01/10/2012A petition to cite the House prosecution team in contempt of the impeachment court for publicly disclosing their supposed evidence in one of the charges against Supreme Court Chief Justice Renato Corona was sought before the Senate yesterday.
Coinciding with the urgent motion lodged by a member of the Integrated Bar of the Philippines (IBP), lawyer Fernando Perito, was also an “objection” coming from Corona himself made before the Senate impeachment court over the actuations of the prosecution panel in preempting the presentation of his supposed questionable acquisition of a condominium unit in a posh area in Taguig City, it was gathered..... ok. ano naman, g. perito, ang tingin mo sa ginawa kay erap noon? anupaman, kung naipasok natin sa ting pagkabansa ang mga turo ng katipunan, ng kartilya at dekalogo na rin, hindi sana nangyayari ang ganitong persecutorial impeachments/demonization. hindi sana nangyari ang ultimate travesty of justice that was the abandonment of the 2001 estrada impeachment/power grab
