QC intensifies security to protect taxpayers from crooked individuals

The Quezon City government has deployed more security personnel and uniformed policemen inside and outside the city hall compound to protect the taxpaying public from unscrupulous individuals and fixers who promise to deliver faster service for a fee.

Mayor Herbert Bautista, in an interview with members of the Quezon City Press Club last Friday, said he ordered concerned QC Hall departments, especially the Department of Public Order and Safety headed by Elmo San Diego, to assign more personnel to the premises of the different income-generating offices where tax payments for business and real property usually peak during the first quarter of the year.....
