DoJ tosses to CSC PAO eligibility row

Pulta 01/10/2011The Department of Justice (DoJ) had tossed to the Civil Service Commission (CSC) the responsibility of sorting out the eligibility of state lawyers in connection with the brewing controversy over a DoJ opinion stating that Public Attorney’s Office (PAO) chief Persida Rueda – Acosta and her deputies are not qualified to their positions due to the lack of Career Exe-cutive Service (CES) eligibility.
Justice Secretary Leila de Lima said CSC’s clarification on the issue is needed following apparent conflicting opinions of some of its commissioners and of officials of the Career Executive Service (CES) Board submitted to the department..... MORE
