Keeping electorate in the dark

EDITORIAL Click to enlarge 03/16/2010 That something really fishy is going on between the Commission on Elections (Comelec) commissioners and Smartmatic is hardly in doubt. There is no question that, from the start, the poll commission has been bending over backwards to accommodate Smartmatic, despite the many corner-cuttings Comelec and its partner have done, which was already pretty fishy.  This time around, however, a report has come out to state that too many changes in the partnership have occurred, without either the Comelec or Smartmatic making this public, thus deliberately keeping the public in the dark....
