Palace twits 'boring' Noynoy on 'destiny' claim By Aytch S. de la Cruz and Angie M. Rosales 02/27/2010 Malacanang yesterday twitted Liberal Party standard bearer Benigno "Noynoy" Aquino's claim of his being "destined"to lead the country before the "yellow" audience, whom he called his Yellow army at the Araneta Coliseum in Cubao, Quezon City where he and his fellow LP candidates claimed to commemorate the 24th people power anniversary Thursday despite the “celebrationâ€� being a purely political rally. Deputy presidential spokesman Charito Planas said Aquino can feed the minds of the public with such self-absorbed thoughts in aid of his political ambition provided it is backed by tangible achievements that are the most important requirements for someone applying for the top public position in the country. "He (Aquino) is entitled to that--every candidate feels that he is the winner. It's natural. But my only comment is this: when you apply for a promotion "senator to president -- what do you submit to the electorates who make the choice? Not the weakness of the others, not their misdeeds, but your own track record," Planas told a press conference....
