Mudslinging is certainly a part of, and expected in, Philippine electoral politics — and even elsewhere in the world.

In truth, mudslinging is one good way for the Filipino electorate to know whether a presidential candidate is what he says he is by way of expensive television advertisements, which merely gives the voters a false image of the candidate, as he is being projected without warts and all.
When mud hits a presidential candidate, the response of his and his camp always is that this is black propaganda. Maybe yes, maybe no. It all depends on the mud flung at him.... MORE
