Noynoy has turned himself into an international and local embarrassment by defying a legal and constitutional order lifting his administration’s ban on former President Gloria Arroyo and her spouse, Mike Arroyo, from the highest court in the land through its grant of a temporary restraining order against the executive branch of government.

International judicial bodies must be aghast at the manner with which the executive department of a government willfully ignores a high court order amid its insistence that the executive’s administration circular is superior to the country’s high court’s legal orders and that the executive department will keep on disregarding the judicial order until the high court rules on its motion for reconsideration and hear oral arguments as well as decide the case on its merits.

tama itong puntong ito. pero moro.moro lang naman yung kunwa'y ayaw paalisin si gloria eh. around the same time, the doj recommended dropping a plunder charge against arroyo, among other things.

"His American backers, US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton and Ambassador Thomas, are around. Are they likely to support his stand in defying SC orders and still hail him as an honest, transparent and democratic Philippine leader and a fighter for human rights, even as he violates the very essence of these rights and democracy itself?

"If they do, then they are just as hypocritical about democracy and the rule of law, and certainly a hypocritical advocate of human rights, just as the hypocritical Noynoy is. And the US topples dictatorships in Libya, Egypt and other African countries with their military might to bring about democracy when they still hail a rising dictator in the Philippines?"
