Why does it feel that an unseen hand is moving on the series of confessions on election cheating operations under Gloria? While there is that sense of relief that the truth about the elections, after being swept under the rug for most of the nine years of Gloria, will finally be brought to light, an uneasy feeling about somebody manipulating the series of events also exists.
It all started with the “Pajero bishops” media fest in which the public attention was sucked into the allegations that some leaders of the Catholic Church have dipped their hands into anomalous practices under Gloria’s administration.
What was billed as a crusading effort among new officials of the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO), from which the donations to the bishops for the purchase of supposed luxury vans were taken, later proved more of a public relations stunt to divert public attention away from allegations of irregularities against the current PCSO officials and the sliding public acceptance of Noynoy.....
