On responsible journalism LETTER 03/04/2010 Dear Editor: This is with reference to a news article that appeared in your paper on March 3, 2010 entitled Defensor fast catching up with ‘Bistek’ Bautista in QC mayoralty race. The article reported on an alleged survey released by our organization last Feb. 15, 2010. I would like to correct this misinformation. Pulse Asia Inc. did not conduct a pre-electoral survey for Quezon City at around this period. Neither did Pulse Asia issue any such media release. In this regard, may we ask that you rectify this unfortunate error in an equally prominent news story in your subsequent publication. Failing to do this, your paper could be perceived as a party to willful public disinformation — an act incompatible with responsible journalism....
