Out of power EDITORIAL Click to enlarge 03/04/2010 Due to the final ruling of the high court on the issue of Cabinet executives forced to resign their positions, and with her executives having chosen to run for an elective office, Gloria has no choice but to name new Cabinet members from her Palace pool, to the posts vacated. While the Supreme Court (SC)’s reversal on the issue of appointed officials hanging on to their posts, win or lose the polls, until the term of Gloria is up is welcome, the truth is that the ruling, for this election at least, came a bit too late. By the time the SC ordered them to resign their appointive posts, it was anyway really time for all these appointed officials to quit their posts, since they would have had to resign anyway, to go on the campaign stump, except of course for Angelo Reyes, who continues to hang on to his job as Energy chief, like a leech....
