Villar: Abolish VAT on medicines
By Angie M. Rosales 03/21/2012Lawmakers reviewing the implementation of the Cheaper Medicines Act are now eyeing the repeal of the imposition of 12 percent value-added tax (VAT) on drugs as this is seen as one of the reasons for the “ineffectiveness” of the law.
