Navotas mayor bares building of 2 more anti-flood pumping stations

Navotas Mayor John Reynald Tiangco yesterday revealed the local government had built two more “Bombastik” pumping stations, bringing to 26 the total number of anti-flood equipment the city has wholly funded.

The latest two pumping stations were set up at a strategic and flood-prone area in Barangay Tanza where residents are usually experiencing flooding even only during high tides, according to the mayor.

City’s public information officer Jayne Banayad told the Tribune the mayor led a simple ceremony that took place recently where he formally opened the two Bombastik pumping stations with Tanza Barangay Chairman Carlito de Guzman, other city and village officials in attendance..... MORE
