DoJ issues lookout order vs Ortega slay suspects
By Benjamin B. Pulta 03/28/2012A “lookout bulletin order” has been issued by the Department of Justice (DoJ) against former Palawan governor Joel Reyes and others accused in the killing of broadcaster Gerry Ortega in Puerto Princesa City.
In a two-page memorandum, DoJ Secretary Leila de Lima has directed the Bureau of Immigration “to be on the lookout on” Reyes, his brother Coron Mayor Mario Reyes Jr., former provincial administrator Romeo Seratubias, close-in aide Arturo Regalado and Valentin Lecias “should any of them pass through immigration counters in any international airport.”
The DoJ chief clarified the LBO would not prevent the accused from leaving the country — unlike a watchlist order or a hold departure order, which she said she could not issue because of the subsisting temporary restraining order from the Supreme Court..... MORE
