For three days now I’ve been mostly glued to my TV, it’s possibly an entire nation just as riveted out there. The hearings are not only televised, but covered live on radio and played on buses and jeepneys, on FM/AM bands of cell phones, and streamed live on the Internet.
I’ve been getting texts and texts galore, praising the Senate President’s handling of the Corona impeachment trials, and save for a few critical ones, I’ve got to say, in showbiz parlance, bongga ang kapatid ko.
Juan Ponce-Enrile’s been doing so well, mentally and physically, talagang pinaghandaan niya ito, I must say. Concerned about my health, he paid me a visit shortly after Christmas and gave me solid advice on how to keep fit, what vitamins to take, what natural remedies to avail of, like malunggay juice and extra virgin coconut oil. “Don’t keep on sleeping,” he added. “Too much sleep can shrink our brain.
