Wendell Sulit’s removal from service pushed

Rosales 06/16/2011Special Prosecutor Wendell Barreras-Sulit, the alleged “architect” of the controversial plea bargain agreement between the Office of the Ombudsman and retired Maj. Gen. Carlos Garcia, has not only been placed under preventive suspension for 90 days, but is also now facing charges of graft and corruption and betrayal of public trust.
Acting chief Ombudsman Orlando Casimiro also yesterday issued an implementation order on Sulit, which was received and signed by her also yesterday.
The implementation order stated that she was found to be “probably guilty” due to the existence of a prima facie case and that her removal from service is warranted..... MORE
