Muslim body seeks Senate aid on budget release
06/18/2011The commission tasked to look after the welfare of Muslim Filipinos recently sought the help of the Senate for the release of an approved P100 million supplemental budget from the Department of Budget and Management (DBM) for it to effectively carry out its social, legal and development projects.
The appeal was contained in a letter of National Commission on Muslim Filipinos (NCMF), Secretary Bai Omera Dianalan-Lucman in reply to the Senate’s request for updates on the implementation of Republic Act No. 9997, the law that created the commission.
