Storm ‘Chedeng’ enters RP
By Jason Faustino 05/24/2011Tropical storm “Chedeng” (International Name: Songda) has entered the Philippine Area of Responsibility as it slightly continued moving toward west northwest direction yesterday morning.
According to the Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa), Chedeng was about 795 km east of Guiuan, Eastern Samar, packing maximum sustained winds of 95 kph near the center and gustiness of up to 120 kph.
It said Chedeng was moving west northwest at 15 kph and is expected to be 540 km east northeast of Guiuan, Eastern Samar on today morning..... MORE
