DPWH taps Korean firm to help upgrade national roads, bridges

MANILA, Philippines — The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) and a team of experts from the government-owned Korea Expressway Corporation are now engaged in a technological exchange that seeks to upgrade this 2011 the country’s national roads and bridges to international standards.

Public Works Secretary Rogelio Singson said the bulk of the P100.9-billion budget of the DPWH this year would be spent on improving the national road network, which has been suffering from neglect for years..... MORE
