Erap camp calls ‘absurd’ Dacer case filed in US

The camp of former President Joseph Estrada described as absurd a $120-million civil suit that the daughters of slain publicist Salvador “Bubby” Dacer had filed at a Northern District court in the State of California that included Estrada along with fugitive Sen. Panfilo Lacson and several others in connection with the Dacer-Corbito murder case . 

Estrada, in a radio interview, said the filing of the case was a desperate act on the part of the Dacer siblings. Estrada stressed that he does not have a reason for the alleged crime and that it is not within his character to kill a person.

“It’s more of a desperate act,” Estrada told the Tribune when asked about his thoughts on the case. He admitted though that he only heard about the case through media.

Estrada insisted that he does not have any involvement in the double murder slay.

San Juan Rep. Joseph Victor Ejercito said his father could not have been involved in the murder case.
“That is really absurb because it is not in the character of my father to be involved in such a gruesome act. Even Bishop Bacani attested to the fact that it is so unlikely for President Erap to be involved,” Ejercito said.
Dacer’s daughters, Carina and Sabrina, filed the case that included businessman Dante Tan; Reynaldo Butch Tenorio, former chief executive officer of the Philippine Amusement.... MORE
