Indeed, the lines between sports and politics — and, yes, entertainment and politics — are often blurred, but there are glaring differences that cannot be denied. Competition may be inherent in both sports and politics, but while one thrives on fair play, the other seems to demand the opposite in order to gain maximum advantage. In one arena, players need to be excellent at what they do in order to succeed, while in the other, one must succeed first to have the chance to prove his excellence.
