Nightmare wedding in Clark Freeport BLURBAL THRUSTS Louie Logarta 02/21/2010 British couple Paul and Girlie McInerney probably won’t ever be coming back to the Philippines. Not after their dream wedding last December 2009 at the Fontana Leisure Park, supposedly one of the featured tourist hotels in the Clark Freeport in Pampanga, turned into a nightmare What’s heartbreaking for Girlie, a balikbayan who had settled in England after landing a job there as a nurse some years ago, is that she could very easily have had her special day in the exotic island of Madagascar in the Indian Ocean or the glitzy city of Melbourne in the Land Down Under or the popular tourist spot of St. Kitts & Nevis in the balmy Caribbean which was being highly recommended by friends. But no, she had to insist to her Scottish boyfriend Paul, an established neuro-surgeon, that they should consummate their relationship with a lavish ceremony in the Philippines where she could have all her relatives in attendance, and financially speaking it wouldn’t cost them an arm and a leg than if they had it done in any of the above mentioned destinations....
