In the case of Senators Manny Villar and Juan Ponce Enrile, the latest controversy involving the alleged bribery seems an exercise in futility. It is one man’s word against another, as there seems no indisputable way of proving whether a bribery attempt was indeed made. Unless, of course, Senator Enrile has another surprise up his sleeve....
