Same man, same woman, wrong year ZOOMING IN Rudy Romero 12/21/2009 The man in the title of this column is Fidel Ramos. In 1992, Ramos became the twelfth President of the Philippines after having served as Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) under President Corazon Aquino and as Chief of the Philippine Constabulary/Integrated National Police (PC/INP) under President Ferdinand Marcos. In 1986 he led, with the then-Minister of National Defense Juan Ponce Enrile, the military revolt against Marcos that became the Edsa Revolution. When he stepped down from the Presidency in 1998 he organized a foundation devoted to the study of governance and development issues. The woman in the title is Gloria Arroyo....
