VP Binay: Speed up probe of Pinay maid’s death in HK

Vice President Jejomar Binay called on Philippine agencies in Hong Kong to coordinate closely with the island police in determining the cause of death of overseas Filipino worker (OFW) Rowena Gloria Gomez, 34, who was working as a domestic helper at the time of her death.

Binay’s directive came on the heels of complaints by a Filipino expat group in Hong Kong over the Aquino government’s slow-paced investigation into Gomez’s death.
