LP cracks showing amid rift with local execs over IRA
02/09/2012Cracks appeared to be showing in the ruling Liberal Party’s show of solidarity as Malacañang opted to keep mum on a petition for certiorari and mandamus and prohibition filed by a former staunch ally of President Aquino before the Supreme Court on alleged misap-propriation of Internal Revenue Allotment (IRA) funds for local governments.
In a text message sent to the Tribune, presidential spokesman Edwin Lacierda ysterday said they have yet to receive a copy of the Mandanas petition.
“We have not seen the petition yet. We will make a comment once we are furnished a copy,” he added..... MORE
