AFP reacts to 'Ka Roger' statement

MANILA, Philippines — The Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) has welcomed reports that Communist Party of the Philippines (CPP) spokesman Gregorio “Ka Roger” Rosal is alive, even as it asked the latter to join the peace panel and help finalize a concrete plan for permanent peace talks and ceasefire.

Brig. Gen. Jose Mabanta, Jr., Armed Forces spokesman, said “it’s good” if indeed “Ka Roger” is alive, adding: “If he wants he can join the negotiating team.”.... MORE
