546 persons injured due to firecracker blasts, stray bullets — DoH

MANILA, Philippines (PNA) – At least 546 persons were injured due to firecracker explosions and stray bullets during the 11-day period ending on New Year's Eve revelry, the Department of Health (DoH) reported on Saturday.

DoH officials said that of the total number of injuries, 518 or 95 percent were attributed to fireworks blasts, 20 or 4 percent to stray bullets, and eight or 1 percent to fireworks ingestion or poisoning..... MORE
