Lacson confirms flight due to double murder raps By Angie M. Rosales 02/03/2010 Sen. Panfilo “Ping” Lacson, who has been the subject of public speculation that he has flown the coop in fear of his being arrested by the government as an accused in a double murder charge, and owing to his absence in the Senate for about a month, yesterday confirmed, through a statement to the media that he has indeed left the country due to a probable arrest warrant that could be issued against him by the judge hearing the murder case. Lacson, a prominent critic of Arroyo, admitted that he had fled the Philippines to escape an “evil conspiracy” as prosecutors prepared to charge him with murder. Lacson yesterday admitted that he had already left the country, citing security and safety concerns, allegedly coming from the ranks of the administration out to nail him down as a political vendetta.....
