Comedy King Dolphy laid to rest

The burial Mass, officiated by Fr. Tito Caluag, a Jesuit priest, was held at the Heritage chapel at 2 p.m. and attended by relatives and friends of Dolphy, Rodolfo Vera Quizon in real life.
Dolphy’s glass-topped golden metal casket that the actor himself bought in l970s at $40,000, was wheeled by friends toward the niche only some 100 meters distance away from the chapel.
Family members were able to have a last look at the Comedy King’s remains right before the coffin was placed at 3 p.m. inside the tomb where they placed flowers one by one.
