Noy defers confrontation with Bongbong, opts not to keep mum on Marcos remarks

In what appears to be a manifestation of the President taking a step backward, against the only son and namesake of the late strongman Ferdinand Marcos, Malacañang yesterday distanced itself from the testimony of Ombudsman Conchita Carpio-Morales, whom Sen. Bongbong Marcos assailed for the manner in which she sourced out evidences on Supreme Court Chief Justice Renato Corona’s alleged dollar deposits.
At the regular press briefing, deputy presidential spokesman Abigail Valte said that Carpio-Morales already explained, though partially, how she was able to get the documents..... MORE
