Steel firm lawyers ask CA justices to withdraw from $41-million case

Pulta 07/18/2011Lawyers of the Steel Corp. of the Philippines (SCP) are asking three sitting justices comprising the Court of Appeals (CA) Special Fifth Division to withdraw themselves from further taking part in the case involving the company and a $41 million claim against insurance firms.
In a motion, the SCP through counsels denounced the magistrates for the alleged “hasty and irregular” issuance of a temporary restraining order (TRO) in favor of five insurance companies which were earlier ordered by a trial court to pay its claim amounting to $41 million.
