Noynoy told: ‘Don’t mess with Lacson’s case’
By Angie M. Rosales 06/29/2010 Outgoing Sen. Rodolfo Biazon yesterday warned incoming President Benigno “Noynoy” Aquino to distance himself from colleague, Sen. Panfilo Lacson and adopt a “hands off policy” once he assumes the presidency formally, in dealing with Lacson’s double murder charges. Biazon issued this warning to his party mate from the Liberal Party (LP), despite being aware of the fact that Lacson supported the president-elect in the last national polls, even detailing some of his own staff during the duration of the campaign to the party and to Aquino himself. “I think the next administration should be very careful about that. Even some of his colleagues such as Senate President Juan Ponce Enrile indicated this possibility of Lacson returning to the country while maintaining that they have not had any contact with the “missing” senator for months now. Biazon shared this observation, even noted the possibility of the public focusing on two cases, that of Lacson and the continued detention of Sen. Antonio Trillanes IV....
