Exaggerated exit rumor
Like American literary great Mark Twain, who said that reports of his death were greatly exaggerated, former President Joseph Estrada described his supposed withdrawal from the race for the presidency as being similarly exaggerated. Estrada is a natural target by rivals, as a result of his potent drawing power on the masses from the time he announced his renewed bid to lead the country after nine years of misery under Gloria in this coming May elections.
