Poll witnesses: No knowledge of tampering of votes in Maguindanao
03/28/2012Commission on Elections (Comelec) lawyers acting as prosecutors in a case of electoral sabotage against former President Gloria Arroyo yesterday were caught with their pants down, as they presented their witnesses who admitted in open court that they had no knowledge of the alleged tampering of votes in Maguindanao.
Defense counsels of the former President questioned the materiality and relevance of the two witnesses presented by the Comelec on her bail and her co-accused in the electoral sabotage case filed by the poll body and the Department of Justice.
