It’s more fun to be original

The Department of Tourism (DoT) reportedly burned buckets of money to come up with the new campaign to sell the wonders of the country and called it “It’s more fun in the Philippines” that turned out to be another plagiarized masterpiece.
It was Switzerland that coined the original concept way back in 1951 and that tourism magnet of a country may have inspired the expensively commissioned outfit to lift its entire tourism program and pass it off as its own original concept.
It is not the first time that the country’s tourism officials were caught red-handed using a copied idea for tourism promotion. Tourism Secretary Ramon Jimenez’s predecessor, Alberto Lim, was also largely assailed for the “Pilipinas Kay Ganda” campaign logo that was identical with that of Poland..... MORE
