Incivility in Malacañang

Civility in government has been thrown out of the window from the day Noynoy Aquino assumed the presidency.
And because Noynoy has demonstrated much too often his incivility toward his critics and political foes, as well as those in other departments whom he clearly dislikes, his Palace aides, especially his mouthpieces and Budget Secretary Butch Abad, have followed their principal in treating all those who are seen as Noynoy’s “enemies” in the same highly uncivil and uncivilized manner, picking up more fights as they go along, and making more “enemies” in the process.
Where they should just have shut up, they continue with their undignified, disrespectful and insulting manner, such as that which was shown by them toward the high court Chief Justice, in their bid to please Noynoy, knowing that Chief Justice Renato Corona is Noynoy’s bête noire.
In much the same way have Noynoy and his Palace boys treated the late strongman’s son, Sen. Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos, when statements could have stopped after Noynoy, during a foreign newsman’s group stated that Marcos is not to be buried anywhere with military honors..... MORE
