Noy gov’t urged to speed up repatriation of OFWs in Syria

Amid world powers’ warning against Syria, a migrant workers’ rights group has urged the Aquino administration to fast-track the repatriation of stranded overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) temporarily seeking refuge at the embassy’s Filipino Workers Resource Center (FWRC) in Damascus.

“We reiterate our call to the Aquino government through the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) to fast-track the repatriation of the stranded and distressed OFWs at the FWRC in Damascus.
