Trying to save face, the military leaders — apparently with the nod of the yellow-bellied Noynoy, now threaten the Moro secessionist group with demanding the surrender of those who had killed the 19 Special Forces troops to the government or else, the military will be hunting these Moro Islamic Liberation Front (MILF) rebels.
Now that’s really a laughable threat, considering the fact that the jailed MILF member who bolted and who was responsible for the beheading of some 14 Marines in the same spot some five years ago, couldn’t even be captured by the troops a few days ago, with 19 troops killed, and some beheaded by the MILF.
And the soldiers can’t get the MILF-protected commander Dan Laksaw Asnawi not because they feared the Moro rebels but because their weakling of a commander in chief does not allow government troops to step anywhere near the MILF-held territories..... MORE

"Not true? Explain then the fact that the soldiers cannot enter such areas without first seeking permission from the MILF, which is not the government. It is not another state. It is part and parcel of the Republic of the Philippines.
"But obviously, this is part of the “secret” agreement reached between Noynoy and the MILF chieftains during the secret Japan meeting and Noynoy, instead of defending the Republic and be a true and courageous commander in chief of the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) prefers to defend the MILF and refuses to protect the territories that make up the Philippines and even continue to cede control of certain areas to the rebel group."
