Nothing but creepy
It’s nothing but creepy. With the military brass in a rigodon de honor of positions as salient as the Chief of Staff and the National Capital Region Command mostly from the PMA Class 1978, which prides Madame Gloria Arroyo as its jewel, with the “holiday” or wellness break of Chief Justice Reynato Puno leaving the highest judicial aribiter of the country in the hands of “acting” or “person in-charge,” a declaration of a “state of calamity” in vote-rich, vote-swayed Mindanao, and rotating brownouts in Metro Manila, notably in highly-contested voting populations, with realistic suspicions of another windfall in fund-raising, with a Defense secretary threatening rebels with a full military confrontation, with the unpreparedness of teachers for the first automated elections in the country, the prelude failure of the Comelec about the most basic in election exercise, namely the purgation of the voter’s registration, the concerns on election returns reading machines, the limitation of clustering, the smuggled signal jammers of phones to be used to transmit results and the threat from creative Pinoy breed of hackers — all of these point to one creepy nightmare of a failure of elections in May 10, 2010! As the presidential candidates and their respective parties are busy crawling their way up or down in the surveys ladders and grandstanding in debates and forums, nobody, it seems, is minding the kitchen where concoctions are being brewed by witches and bitches under the pale moonlight.
