Erap’s ‘command votes’ to propel victory 03/13/2010 Former President Joseph Estrada, standard-bearer of Pwersa ng Masang Pilipino (PMP), enjoys substantial command votes of six to seven million, more than enough to win the presidency. Professor Alfredo Sureta, executive director of survey firm StratPOLLS, said Estrada remains a “force to reckon with” in the presidential race.  Sureta pointed out that the “ability of the candidates to translate the local support into votes” is a key factor that could change the “trend considerably.” “Translating local support into votes can only be felt once the local campaigns get into full swing,” he pointed out. Sureta acknowledged that Estrada is “worth watching when it comes to translating local support (into votes) because he still enjoys the loyalty of local leaders.”...
