It’s the SC’s call FRONTLINE Ninez Cacho-Olivares 02/18/2010 It is good that finally, the Supreme Court (SC) has taken the bull by the horns, so to speak, in finally putting an end to all these legal arguments over which appointing power and when, should name the next SC chief justice, upon the retirement of the incumbent CJ, Reynato Puno. The arguments, as well as threats aired by those who do not want Gloria Arroyo to appoint the next chief justice, have been allowed to go on for so long that the issue has become politicized, and has even gone to the extent of having justices casting suspicions against each other to get the top high court post over the issue of who leaked what out....
