After nine years, former President Joseph Estrada returned to Malacañang to attend the Security Council Meeting at the Heroes Hall of Malacañang yesterday upon invitation of President Arroyo who welcomed him and thanked him for accepting her invitation.

Following the topics stated in the invitation, the meeting discussed “the national security situation, measures to address private armed groups and loose firearms, and preparations for national elections.”

President Estrada said that he accepted the invitation because it is for the higher purpose of ensuring clean and credible elections in 2010..... MORE

A comment, coming from a public relations man, raised a howl in a small group gathering recently to organize a team which would help Noynoy Aquino gain some boost in what appears as a dull media campaign.

The PR man believes Noynoy’s rating in the presidential
surveys would no longer rise above the 46 percent among people polled by the Social Weather Stations (SWS) from Dec. 5 to 10. But the PR man was quick to supplement his claim by saying it doesn’t mean Noynoy would not win the May 10 polls, only that his rivals would gain a chunk from each others’ ratings, including from Noynoy’s, and that a very close fight might ensue between him and whoever rises to become his rival.
