UNA vs LP duel for 2013 elections seen imminent
By Angie M. Rosales 04/11/2012Next year’s midterm elections are seen as a possible venue for the country to return to a two-party system following the forming of a coalition led by Vice President Jejomar Binay and former President Joseph Estrada.
“That’s positive news which should lead to a two-party system,” Sen. Gregorio Honasan said, referring to the United Nationalist Alliance (UNA), which the ruling Liberal Party (LP) continues to claim to be not a threat to the administration.
