Erap-Binay party alliance a ‘sleeping giant’ — JPE

Alliances are shaping up in the country’s main political forces with the joining of the parties of Vice President Jejomar Binay and former President Joseph Estrada being seen this early as an emerging threat to the dominant Liberal Party (LP).

The Estrada-Binay coalition may not be a threat yet but Senate President Juan Ponce Enrile described it as a “sleeping giant” and a likely force to reckon with come election day in 2013.
