Beware of Koreans bearing gifts

A couple of weeks ago, a Korean, One Goh, shattered the dream of Kathleen Ping, her husband and her children to attain a brighter future for them in the United States. Kathleen, a Filipina immigrant to the US, together with six Americans was shot by One Goh on his quest for revenge against some of his victims because they laughed at the way he pronounced the English words.
We were indeed very saddened by this news that one of our citizens became a victim of a crime in another country. We cannot avoid becoming sentimental that a brother or sister Filipino who leaves the country to find greener pasture as there is none here, died instead in another country she believed to be a land of promise.
Since the assailant is a Korean, it cannot be avoided that many of us also get pissed with the Koreans who reside here. Sometimes, because of this sentiment, some people may contemplate on avenging Kathleen’s death on any Korean, if they find any instance that a Korean misbehaves here. This feeling of hatred is borne out of sympathy perhaps not only to Kathleen but to her husband who may no longer be able to join her and the kids..... MORE
